Refinishing
hardwood floors involves sanding off the top layer of the floor that has been
worn down and then adding a fresh coat of finish to the existing floor. Resurfacing,
however is a slightly more complex process.
Resurfacing involves removing old floorboards, sanding uneven boards,
and reinforcing worn or loose nails.
You might be thinking, “But how do I know if my floor needs
to be resurfaced or refinished?”
At Vision Floors we pride ourselves on honest customer
service. If a floor only has minor scuffmarks,
discoloration, or a worn finish, we tend to recommend refinishing. Generally we only recommend resurfacing if you
have floor boards that are noticeably warped, or have water damage, if some of
the floor boards have uneven color, if parts of floor boards are missing or
cracked, if the wooden planks that make up your floor have holes, or if nails
have come up from the floor and need to be replaced.
If your floor needs resurfacing or refinishing, contact
Vision Floors today! In addition to hardwood
floor resurfacing and hardwood floor refinishing, we also do hardwood floor
installation in Nashville, Brentwood, Franklin, Spring
Hill, Rivergate, and Mt. Juliet.
